Oh but Charlie Brown you picked a fantastic tree and now my office looks so Christmas-y. I could use a pair of gold sparkly shoes just like that one too. My day is going to be interesting I'm sure. I got up late and, thinking I had an eye doctor's appointment today, drove in and was quite thrilled that I was only 15 minutes late getting in. Turns out that the appointment is next Monday. Now I get to pay $20 for parking for no reason. Sigh... I got on the elevator with a woman this morning who had a Guitar Hero box and chocolates and cookies. I told her that this looked like the best way to start a week and she agreed. I wonder if I could convince the powers to be here that we should also have a "band day". I could totally be a back up singer. After a fabulous wearing shorts bike-run yesterday with Jonathan, I was making dinner and went to open the oven door to check on the delicious chicken that was cooking and the door handle came half way off. That is my question of the day. I saw a seagull standing on the Rideau Canal wall this morning and it looked like he was yawning. Now I'm curious. I forgot to show you the shoes I wore yesterday. It was a fabulous shoe day. After an initial crack (and even I was a tad worried for a moment) my foot settled into the shoe and was quite happy for the entire day. We won't discuss how it felt last night....that's a secret between me and my Advil. Like the shoes say "my feet looked fabulous". Today's shoes are a favourite from our last Pointe Clair shopping adventure. You just have to love living in Canada. The weather was so different this morning than it was yesterday. Yesterday I was sweating 15 minutes into my ride to work and this morning it felt like there were icicles on my fingers. Lovely for biking though. So many pretty sights to see this morning as well. Seeing the hot air balloon in the sunrise was so pretty as long as you don
The boss is back from the UK today. I wonder if he brought me back these gorgeous shoes? I think I deserve them since it was my 6 month anniversary here on Monday, I'm a loyal, hardworking (most of the time), fun, friendly, engaging, reliable, fashionable....well, obviously I could go on but I'll stop...employee. Maybe I should have put that in an email and sent it to him before he left London. Yesterday I followed a woman to the bus stop and I marvelled at how she seemed to be walking while trying to keep something between her knees. Had to be that because why would you take such tiny little steps in life if not for that. Is that a new inner thigh workout. Maybe I should try it because mine could certainly use some toning. Plus, really, it would take her a week to walk a block. On top of that she had on a skirt that went to her ankles (so you couldn't actually see if there was something between her knees) and the pointiest toed shoes I've seen since.....w
