TGIF Everyone.

What a busy day its been.  Haircut at 6:30 this morning followed by physio and then a race to work.  Well, couldn't really race with the traffic.  You'd think we'd never had snow before with the amount of accidents out there but thankfully, I wasn't in one of them.

I have to thank Stephanie for today's picture.  She was at an appointment in Vanier this morning and caught this on film:

Apparently this woman who is wearing a black boot and a green boot to match her stylish coat, has yellow hair and pink eyebrows.  Can you say "What Not to Wear?".

We are having Eddie over for a sleepover tomorrow and his little brother Charlie will be coming over for a little while too.  We are excited but remind me tomorrow morning when he wakes me up in the dark that this is fun.

I need you to weight in on this one.

At the gym today there was a woman who I thought was wearing a questionable outfit or it could just be that I was jealous.  Her capris only had half a butt (the lower half).  The top half was mesh and you could see through them.  She didn't wear a bra which was quite noticeable when she was using the skipping rope.  I'm sure the men enjoyed the view(s) but really?  Is this appropriate?  Where do you even buy pants like that?  Let me know what you think.

I Googled "capris mesh butt" and there are some very scary outfits out there.
Aren’t these the most beautiful shoes? It is their first outing today.I purchased these beauties last summer while strolling through a store in my wheelchair. The guy at the cash made me laugh when he asked if I tried them on to ensure they fit.I told him that I tried one on and was hopeful that someday the other one would fit….oh the look on his face was priceless.
I noticed the other day that we have a security guard in our building that looks just like Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty. His beard is a little shorter but it could be his twin.Makes me smile whenever I see him.

I bought new headphones last night so I can listen to Ted Talks on the bus (have you ever tried them?A huge assortment of topics and very informative). The following is on the back of the box:“Dear Sir or Madam, Authorities prevented timely arrival of the enclosed material, but the almost illegal sound you requested is here. These headphones aren’t just the cat’s pajamas, they’re the honey badger’s pajamas."My son found…

Awesome Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

I tried out a new chili recipe and its so delicious I just had to share.  Such an easy peasy crock pot recipe.
Slow Cooker Turkey Chili
•1.5 pounds 99% Lean Ground Turkey •1 teaspoon Oil
•1 medium Onion, minced
•1 medium red Bell Pepper, diced fine
•1 Garlic clove, minced
•1 can red kidney beans
•10 oz can Aylmer Original Stewed Tomatoes
•8 oz small can plain Tomato Sauce
•1/4 cup low sodium Chicken Broth
•1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
•1/2 teaspoon Paprika
•1/2 teaspoon Salt

Optional Garnishes
•Diced Avocado •2% Greek Yogurt
•Shredded Cheese
•Baked Tortilla Chips

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the turkey, season with salt and cook, breaking up with a spoon until turkey browns and is no longer pink; place into the slow cooker.
Add the oil to the skillet and sauté the onion, garlic and bell pepper over medium heat for about 4 to 5 minutes. Spoon over turkey into the slow cooker and stir in kidney bean and tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, paprika and salt, mix until w…

Dear Heated Seats.....

Dear Heated Seats,

I miss you so much.  Even though my new car is very shiney and clean it lacks the instant gratification that the heated seats gave my heart....well, my butt.  Its a good thing the heater works well because I had to drive home from the dealer with the windows open because its like driving inside a bottle of windex.  Not sure if that's what they cleaned the car with but I sure hope the smell goes away soon.

It will be going on its first shoe shopping adventure this evening and I know that it can't wait.

Today's "Your Feet Are Gorgeous" shoes turned a little wonky in the picture but trust me, they are so pretty.  Today is the day I get my new "previously enjoyed" car.  I like this view of it because it makes it look sportier.

Can't wait to pick it up....also can't wait to get the miniscule cheque from the insurance company for my poor "bus crushed" car.

I think this car deserves new shoes or at the very least a new outfit....right?!?

I'm off for a two hour government field trips.

Sign at the Good Companions Centre "55 is the new 40".  Does this meean that if you are 55 you can't join the Centre because you are too young because you are really 40?

Everyone who has ever gone to the gym should watch this:

Have a great day everyone.

It was a beautiful day for snowshoeing.

Car shopping marathon

During my Saturday marathon car shopping adventure may have found the perfect car for me.  I would never have to worry about where I parked because no one else would be crazy enough to have a pepto bismol coloured car.
