That is my question of the day. I saw a seagull standing on the Rideau Canal wall this morning and it looked like he was yawning. Now I'm curious. I forgot to show you the shoes I wore yesterday. It was a fabulous shoe day. After an initial crack (and even I was a tad worried for a moment) my foot settled into the shoe and was quite happy for the entire day. We won't discuss how it felt last night....that's a secret between me and my Advil. Like the shoes say "my feet looked fabulous". Today's shoes are a favourite from our last Pointe Clair shopping adventure. You just have to love living in Canada. The weather was so different this morning than it was yesterday. Yesterday I was sweating 15 minutes into my ride to work and this morning it felt like there were icicles on my fingers. Lovely for biking though. So many pretty sights to see this morning as well. Seeing the hot air balloon in the sunrise was so pret...
I was pretty leary about only having freezing before they cut into my foot and because the needle was so huge but it wasn't too bad. Certainly not as bad as the cortisone shot I had a few months ago. I was even pushed into OR by the doctor. I told him I'm sure that's something he wasn't expecting to be doing at this stage in life. He has a pretty good sense of humor. There was some pretty good music playing in the OR which makes it a tad less scary. So we are all set to go after they cover me with a couple of blankets and sheets and wrap my foot in many towels (if thats to soak up the blood...yerks!) So much laundry for one foot. Then he says with sharp instrument in hand "we are going to test you now". What??? Stab me and see if I scream?? Well, there were no screams so that's a good start. There was a lot of pushing and digging or at least that's what it felt like from my end of the table. I said I was waiting for the sound of th...
RED ALERT...RED ALERT....sorry, that just needed to be said. My physiotherapist said its now time to get new orthotics if I'm going to start running again. I thought it would be prudent to check them out before going so I pulled the ones out of my good running shoes and found this: Well, I guess you can't really read them. One of them says 2013 and the other says 2011. I checked my other pair of running shoes and one of them said 2013 and the other 2011. No wonder I've been a little off kilter. Glad I checked them before going to get new ones and they saw my error. I totally blame being in a cast for so long and having to put an orthotic in only one shoe so they got all mixed up. That is my tale of the day....but its early yet kids.
